I was recently thinking about what my next blog topic should be about and decided to ask some of my friends and colleagues. The one thing I noticed is that many people were telling me they don’t want to pay for the bells, the whistles, the huge HD screens, The fingerprint scanner, the 3d goggles, ect…. Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit but the consensus was that skill has and always will trump flash when it comes to choosing a dental provider.

One, in particular, said her last experience was fine, but she felt she was paying for the flash and the TVs. She noted that she may not even go back. While technology is great at making our lives better it would appear that to some it acts to overshadow or hide skills.

Every person said the skill and knowledge of the team were the driving factors in satisfaction. What do you think? Do you think the flash is just to sell or sell out?
